Payment Methods & Security

This page covers how you pay on bymayvelle.com, when the money is taken, what the charge looks like on your statement, how card data is handled, and what to do if a payment fails or you see a charge you do not recognize.

This store sells for delivery in the United States. Orders to other countries are handled case by case — contact us before ordering.

Returns, refunds and cancellations are not covered here. They are set out in the Return & Refund Policy.

1. Payment methods

We accept: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay

We do not accept checks, money orders, bank or wire transfers, cash on delivery, or cryptocurrency.

We never ask for card details by email, phone, text message or social media. See section 5.

2. Currency and totals

All prices are shown and charged in US dollars (USD). USD is the only currency at checkout.

Any sales tax we are required to collect is shown at checkout before you confirm the order. The total you see at checkout is the total you pay; there is nothing to pay on delivery.

If your card or account is not held in USD, your bank sets its own exchange rate and may add a foreign transaction fee. That fee is charged by your bank. We do not receive it and cannot refund it.

3. When you are charged

Payment is authorized and captured when you place the order. That is also the moment the contract between you and us is formed. The charge is not deferred to the shipping confirmation.

One order is one charge. If your order arrives in more than one parcel, you are still charged once.

To cancel an order, email hello@bymayvelle.com. The cancellation and refund terms are in the Return & Refund Policy. If we cannot ship within our stated handling time, the notice and choice you receive are set out in the Shipping Policy.

4. What the charge looks like on your statement

Card payments appear on your statement as ByMayvelle.

The descriptor may not read "By Mayvelle". If you pay through a digital wallet or PayPal, the payment also appears in that account's activity, and on the card or balance behind it.

Check the wording above before you contact your bank.

5. Card security

  • The whole store, including checkout, runs over HTTPS with TLS encryption.
  • Card details are entered into our payment provider's checkout fields and go to that provider. We do not store, process or transmit full card numbers ourselves; the card data is handled by the payment provider under its own PCI DSS obligations.
  • We never see or store your full card number, expiry date or security code (CVV).
  • What we can see for an order: your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, the card brand, the last four digits, the amount, and whether the payment was approved or declined.
  • Because we do not hold your card details, we cannot charge your card again without a new checkout, cannot correct a mistyped card number for you, and cannot set up a recurring charge. There are no subscriptions on this store.
  • Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment through 3-D Secure. That exchange is between you and your bank. We never see that code.

We will never ask you for your full card number, your CVV, your online banking login, or a one-time passcode. We will never ask for a photo of your card or for a bank statement showing your full card number. If you get a message claiming to be from By Mayvelle that asks for any of these, do not reply. Forward it to hello@bymayvelle.com.

6. Declined payments

A decline comes from your bank or wallet provider, not from us. Your bank does not tell us the reason.

Common causes: a typo in the card details; a billing address that does not match the one your bank holds; insufficient funds or a daily limit; a block on online or international purchases; an expired card; a 3-D Secure confirmation not completed in time.

What to do:

1. Re-enter the card details, and check that the billing address and ZIP code match your statement exactly.

2. Try another method from section 1.

3. Call the number on the back of your card and ask why the authorization was refused.

4. If it still fails, email hello@bymayvelle.com or call +1 332 263 9703 with the date, the amount and the last four digits of the card. Never send us a full card number.

A declined payment does not create an order. Nothing is reserved and nothing ships.

You may still see a pending authorization for the failed attempt. That is not a completed charge and no money reached us. Your bank releases it on its own schedule; we cannot release it or speed it up, because we never received those funds. Avoid retrying the same card repeatedly — each attempt can add another pending authorization.

7. Order confirmation

When your payment is approved, an automatic confirmation email is sent to the address you entered at checkout, with your order number, the items, the total charged and the shipping address. Keep it: you need the order number for support and for any return. A second email with tracking follows when the parcel is handed to the carrier.

If the confirmation has not arrived within 1 hour:

1. Check your spam, junk and promotions folders.

2. Check whether you mistyped your email address.

3. Email hello@bymayvelle.com or call +1 332 263 9703 with your name, the amount charged and the date. We will find the order and resend the confirmation.

Do not place the order a second time. A second checkout is a second order and a second charge. If that has already happened, tell us and we will cancel the duplicate and refund it under the Return & Refund Policy.

8. Payment verification

Orders are screened for signs of unauthorized card use. Before shipping we may ask you to confirm your billing address, or to confirm the order from the email address used at checkout. If we cannot verify the payment, or you do not respond, we cancel the order and refund it in full under the Return & Refund Policy.

We will never ask for your full card number, your CVV, a photo of your card, or a bank statement showing your full card number as part of this check.

9. If you do not recognize a charge, contact us first

1. Compare the wording on your statement with section 4.

2. Check whether someone else in your household ordered from this store.

3. Email hello@bymayvelle.com or call +1 332 263 9703 (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM). We reply to email within 1 business day, Monday to Friday.

Include so we can find the payment: the exact amount and the date it appeared, the last four digits only of the card, the name and ZIP code on the card, and your order number if you have it. Never send a full card number.

We will identify the charge and send you the order record: date, items, amount, shipping address and tracking, if any. If the payment was not authorized by you, we cancel the order and refund it in full under the Return & Refund Policy.

Contacting us first is usually faster. Once you open a dispute with your bank, the funds are held by the bank until the case is decided and we can no longer refund you directly. This does not remove your right to dispute a charge with your bank; you can use it at any time. We are asking for the chance to fix it first.

10. Payment data and privacy

We do not use payment details for advertising, and card data does not reach our systems (section 5). How we handle other data is described in our Privacy Policy. US residents can also use Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.
